London Life Part Two

Hi all,  I have next to no spare time on my hands anymore hence the no social media and no blog posting apologies xxx Now on my third week in London, I love it 90 per cent of the time but it does get really hard sometimes going back to a lonely hotel room when you have had a really difficult day. Me and my colleagues have a catch up after work and sometimes a drink but normally we are all that exhausted its showers and bed. I am really enjoying the job, I have met so many great people, and the old Londoners we are looking after have the most amazing stories which makes the day enjoyable. There is no inbetween with work, one days absolute shit everyones arguing buzzers going 24/7 and no time for breaks, some days its great get to spend time with patients and give them the love and care they deserve and that is what makes me stay and what has kept me in care for the last four years ( I keep trying to bloody escape lol). I literally LOVE being in London though in general, I love...

London life part one

Hi all, Sorry I haven't been active, one job loss, twenty mental breakdowns and a relocation to London later I am back and feeling better than ever. Came down to London Friday evening, and I was shocked that there were more people about in Wisbech than the centre of London... no more words needed. Had a great weekend, had training Saturday and I am so excited to work for the NHS. I have done a few hospital shifts before and loved it so I am excited to see what this week brings, very nervous though! Apart from training I have been pretty much been a fat bitch this weekend as I am rinsing the free food. I have had a Wagamamas, Papa Johns, Nando's, Chicken Shop, Maccies, 2 fry ups and 2 deserts, oooops. I did go on a 5k walk around the docks today so I am justifying it lol. I just had cookie dough with white chocolate sauce with salted caramel Gelato delivered and I think it has changed my life.... what a treat.  Got 13 hour shifts Monday to Friday this week, so I will probably ...

Wednesday 6th Jan (hump day)

Hi all, Pork chops were banging. Seasoned them with Thyme instead of rosemary cause that is all we had, never mind, still went off. In other news the legend himself Dave Clarke has fixed my phone. unbelievable service, people of Wisbech and the surrounding areas I would highly recommend! Had a maccies breakfast after ( I hate myself and I have had heartburn all day ). Been to work this afternoon, good to actually see some human beings, getting so bored of all these lockdowns. Been to Morrisons to get a little plant, and B&M to get a laundry basket and some compeed to stick my tapestry on the wall ( wooooo what a thrilling life.... ). Done a quiz with the boys and Shan tonight, came third, Spud won, looking forward to another one on Saturday and a few bevs. Decided I am not doing dry January, and will be drinking Baileys on Saturdays only and possibly some red wine as their both good for the heart. On the second day without a ciggy, I would like to say it's easy but that would ...

Tuesday 5th January

05/01/2021   Another boring day today, but feeling a bit happier than yesterday as back to work tomorrow and at least it is something to do! Had a fun night last night watching my fave documentary on Netflix 'What We Started' with my housemate. As usual this resulted in me dancing round the house as I miss the rave too much lol. Bit of a weird night last night, when out driving I was overtaking a lorry on the dual carriageway, and when I went back into the left lane, there was a man walking along the dual carriageway in all black clothing and no lights on him! Luckily I swerved and missed him, then saw two women with torches clearly searching for him, hopefully they caught up with him and he is safe and sound, proper shook me up. Hate driving and I can't wait to live in a city again one day where I don't have to drive! Waste of money, shit for the environment, boring and dangerous but have no other option when you live somewhere as rural as we do. A nationwide lockdown ...
