Another boring day today, but feeling a bit happier than yesterday as back to work tomorrow and at least it is something to do! Had a fun night last night watching my fave documentary on Netflix 'What We Started' with my housemate. As usual this resulted in me dancing round the house as I miss the rave too much lol.

Bit of a weird night last night, when out driving I was overtaking a lorry on the dual carriageway, and when I went back into the left lane, there was a man walking along the dual carriageway in all black clothing and no lights on him! Luckily I swerved and missed him, then saw two women with torches clearly searching for him, hopefully they caught up with him and he is safe and sound, proper shook me up. Hate driving and I can't wait to live in a city again one day where I don't have to drive! Waste of money, shit for the environment, boring and dangerous but have no other option when you live somewhere as rural as we do.

A nationwide lockdown was announced for England last night, which resulted in me crying for a good hour. There is no-one I dislike more than Boris Johnson. The mans complete incompetence and failure to act early enough and follow the science all through this pandemic, has resulted in us having one of the world's highest death tolls, even though we are a tiny island with a much better healthcare system than most! Utterly embarrassing and the Conservative government should be truly ashamed of themselves.

In the UK we have one of the lowest rates of sick pay in Europe, with statutory sick pay being just £95.85 a week, which means many people, particularly key workers simply cannot afford to be off work when ill, which is resulted in coronavirus continuing to spread throughout our country. Hell will freeze over before the Tories even discuss this issue however, as only the working class are affected by it and as we know, the working class are the least of the Tories concerns.

Anyway that is my bit about politics for today. Planning on spending the evening re-opening my online perfume store, after having too much going on in my life the last 6 months to do it. I am also going to start applying for some Masters courses with DMU my old University and the Open University, as it is looking less and less likely I will get to Glasgow this September to start my Masters in International Relations and sadly I am not getting any younger...

Having pork chops and veg for tea then going to head out for a walk. Need to keep busy am I am stressed waiting to see if my broken phone is fixable.

Peace and love,

Riri xxx
